Boundaries

Something I am learning as I go through life is to respect myself and my own feelings. For so many years I have put others in front of me. I remember when I was 16-17 I dated a guy and I stopped liking him, but I didn't break up with him because I didn't want to hurt his feelings.

I always said yes to things because I didn't want to let anyone down and I wanted people to be happy, I felt responsible for other people's happiness.

Now I am learning to respect myself, love myself and take care of my own happiness. In doing so, I feel more confident in setting boundaries. Protecting myself from sadness.

I am not suggesting that we don't care for other people, I am just saying that you need to care for yourself, like you would a child. Your inner child. Talk to yourself in a nice way, don't say negative things such as 'I'm too fat, thin, short, tall, etc' Try and do things which make you feel good and is good for your body. Go for a walk, a swim, a exercise class. It will lift your mood and your body will love it.

Its OK to say no and do what you want to do.

Love and peace, Namaste 🙏
